“JSS Law college blends the study law with social responsibility. The institution gave us the infrastructure, curriculum and the intellectual capital to succeed. As students we were disciplined to learn the practice of law along with the theories. We took pride in legal aid as early as in 1996 and established a culture of moot court exercises. ‘Young India Environmental Law Fellowship’ was awarded to Dr. Sairam Bhat in 2003. In the autumn of 2003, he served as adjunct faculty at Golden Gate University in San Francisco. In 2010, he was a visiting researcher at Georgetown University Law Centre and was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship. At the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, he held the position of Linnaeus-Palme Academic Exchange Fellow from 2012-17.
