About the Cyber Law college:

Cyber Law College is a pioneering educational initiative in India Promoted by Na Vijayashankar, a well-known expert in cyber Law in India. Established in October 2000, Cyber Law in India. Established in October 2000, cyber Law College offers several courses in cyber law through e-mail. Such courses include certificate course in cyber laws and CC in techno-legal cyber security. Cyber law college has also prompted the concept of ‘Cyber law compliance’ as an essential corporate strategy and certification program for the purpose based on cyber law compliance Audit by qualified techno legal experts. Cyber Law College is a constituent of cyber society of India (CySI), a society dedicated to the promotion of cyber law literacy and information security.

Na. Vijayashankar more popularly known as Naavi, is a e-business and cyber law consultant based in Chennai. Naavi is a pioneer in the field of Cyber Law in India and is also the author of the first e-book (2003) on the cyber laws in India. He was a member of the IT act policy advisory group of the ministry of information and technology and the inter ministerial working group of cyber security and cyber laws of the ministry of communication and information technology and has been providing his inputs to the policy formulation in the area of Cyber Laws and cyber security at the central Government level. He is the founder of www.naavi.org the premier Cyber Law portal in India. He is a member of several working groups of ministry of information technology on cyber law and cyber security and the e-governance advisory group of the government of Karnataka. He is also the founder secretary of Cyber society of India.

Entry criteria

The course is recommended for graduates in any discipline. However considering the demand/need of student community, the course is made available for under graduate students as well. Before taking up the course, students are requested to study the course contents and decide their own requirement and capability for timely completion of the course.


The course is conducted by JSS Law College with the active assistance of Mr. Naavi (Cyber Law College0 in conduct of classes, in curriculum drawing and updating, periodically. All correspondence should be addressed to – The principal, JSS Law College, Mysore.

How the course is conducted?

The course will consist of fortnightly classes at the premises of the college. A total of 48 hours of classroom teaching is scheduled throughout. Each fortnight classes will be conducted on Saturdays and Sundays. The college reserves the right to schedule the classes on other days if found necessary. Appropriate Course material will be provided during the course.

Examination and certification

The examination will be conducted as per the schedule to be announced by JSS Law College. The first examination is expected to be conducted in the month of March 2007. The examination will consists of 3 hours theory paper for 80 marks and 20 marks equally reserved for internal assessment and viva voce. The certificate will be issued to the successful candidates by JSS Law College in Association with Cyber Law College.

Admission procedure & fee

At the time of registration, candidates shall make the payment of the course fee along with full particulars.
